String of Office Thefts in Hastings

This report was derived from information from the Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Hastings businesses are being warned by police to lock up their offices when unoccupied after several business owners recently reported a string of office break-ins.

“As a result we are asking all business owners to make sure their local business office is secure during the overnight hours and if an alarm system is present, use it,” said a Jan. 25 letter from Lt. David Dosin to local business owners.

According to police, many of the larcenies occurred overnight with no signs of forced entry with the thief or thieves taking whatever valuables they could find around.
