Teen Caught with Hennessy, Attempted Shed Break-In

  • A Hastings-on-Hudson resident reported that there was a large group of teens in the street between Saturday night and Sunday morning who were opening car doors on Rose Avenue. When police caught up with the crowd, one teen admitted to opening a car door. Police checked all of the cars, many of which were unlocked, on Rose Street to make sure nothing was stolen. The teen was allegedly found to have a bottle of Hennessy Cognac in his possession. He was charged with possession of an alcoholic beverage with intent to consume by a person under 21. Police released the 18-year-old to his parents.
  • A resident of Rose Avenue in Hastings-on-Hudson reported on Aug. 19 that it appeared that someone tried to break into her shed. Though the shed was still locked a police officer confirmed that it seemed as though someone tried to jimmy the door open. The owner of the shed didn't know whether or not anything had been stolen. This incident may be related to the previous incident.
