Vehicle Larcenies in Dobbs Ferry

Dobbs Ferry Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicle doors, as thefts to unlocked cars are an ongoing issue in the Rivertowns.
A 47-year-old Dobbs Ferry female said several items were thieved from her unlocked 2004 Toyota Highlander between 12:30 p.m. and 2 pm. on April 4. The car was parked in the Oak Street Municipal Parking Lot and had a $25 bag of change, $250 pair of sunglasses and $150 pair of reading glasses stolen from it.

A $200 GPS was taken from an unlocked 2009 Toyota Matrix that was parked on Beechdale Road between April 6 at 11 p.m. and April 7 at 6 a.m. The 63-year-old victim later discovered that a $1,000 camera was also taken from his daughter’s unlocked 2008 Subaru Outback, which was parked in the same area.
A 2003 Honda Civic was rummaged through while parked on Judson Avenue between April 6 at 7:30 p.m. and April 7 at 1:40 p.m.
