Zachary Hunley, who began character work in 2020, says Rochester feels like Whoville as families gather at places like Roc Village to skate, sing, and celebrate community together.
   

• Family honors veteran for the holidays after tragic October crash (rochesterfirst.com) — A Rochester family is honoring 69-year-old Army veteran Mark Morreall this Christmas, just weeks after he died following a heart attack and fiery crash in a Rochester Regional Health parking garage. Loved ones and fellow American Legion members from Holley are remembering his generosity to veterans and sharing advice for others coping with loss during the holidays.
   

• 'Adopt-a-Grandparent': DJ's Christmas event reminds nursing home residents that somebody cares (whec.com) — On Christmas Day in Rochester, DJ Dan Bookhart brought music, gifts, and company to seniors at Cirrus Manor Residential Center through his second annual Adopt-A-Grandparent event. He and supporters handed out about 400 gifts across three local nursing homes, focusing on residents who rarely receive visits or calls and promising to keep the tradition going for years to come.
