Rochester City Offices To Close For Lincoln’s Birthday, President’s Day

The City R-Centers that host pandemic-related meal distribution sites will also be closed Friday and Monday.

Rochester City Hall, Neighborhood Service Centers, R-Centers and other administrative offices will be closed on Friday, Feb. 12 and Monday, Feb. 15, in observance of President Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday and President’s Day.

The City R-Centers that host pandemic-related meal distribution sites will also be closed Friday and Monday. Children are encouraged to pick up extra meals on Thursday before the long weekend.

The 311 Call Center will be open on Friday and Monday. Refuse and Recycling collection will continue as normally scheduled. For more information, residents may call 311.Rochester Animal Services will be open by appointment for adoption and lost pet recovery during pandemic adjusted hours of 9-3 p.m. Call 428-7274 to schedule an appointment.

All branches of the Rochester Public Library will be open, however, some branches of City libraries are limited to curbside services only. For a list of specific branch operations and hours, visit https://roccitylibrary.org/spotlight/reopening/Asymptomatic COVID-19 testing will take place on Saturday, Feb. 13 at East High School, 1801 E. Main St., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Walk –ins are welcome. There will be no testing on Monday. Asymptomatic Testing will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at Joseph C. Wilson Academy, 200 Genesee St.

The skating rink at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park will be open during normal operating hours with proper adherence to state and local COVID-19 guidelines.
