$3,500 Robbed From Nassau Restaurant: Police

WILLISTON PARK, NY — A Mineola man was arrested on Monday evening for a burglary in Williston Park, police said.

Anthony Miola, 49, was taken into custody for an overnight burglary at Yummy Gyro on Willis Avenue, police said.

Miola stole a lockbox containing approximately $3,000 and $500 from a cash register, authorities said.

An investigation led police to locate Miola at a nearby parking lot. He was in possession of a glass pipe containing a burnt substance believed to be crack cocaine, police said.

Miola is charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.
