Here's some of this week's events at the Rockville Centre Library:

• Meet the Author: Barbara Novack, Aug. 6, 7 p.m. — The acclaimed poet and Molloy College writer-in-residence will read from her latest book, Something Like Life.
• Project Fashionista, Aug. 6, 7 p.m. — "Channel your inner fashion star and design fabulous clothes." For RVC cardholders.
  
• Movie Matinees: Bedknobs & Broomsticks, Aug. 7, 2:30 p.m.
• American Girl (grades 3-5), Aug. 8, 4 p.m. — "Bring your favorite American Girl doll to the Library for a fun craft. Sign-up one week before each program for RVC cardholders only."
  
• Mr. M’s Movies: No, Aug. 9, 2 p.m. — Rated R, 118 mins.
