$8,000 Stolen From Nail Salon During Overnight Burglary: Police

OCEANSIDE, NY — An Oceanside shop was burglarized during the overnight hours on Friday, police said.

Officers responded to the 159 Nail Spa on Long Beach Road at 9:25 a.m. after two store employees opened the business. The discovered the front door was open and items were missing. police said.

An investigation revealed that three unknown men pried open the front door at 4:12 a.m. They pried open an ATM machine where they removed $6,000 and an additional $2,000 from the front desk, authorities said.
