Amy Schumer Leaves Huge Tip for Peter's Clam Bar Waiter

A comedian used her generosity rather than her jokes to put a smile on a waiter’s face this weekend in Island Park.

While dining at Peter’s Clam Bar in Island Park, Amy Schumer, star of “Inside Amy Schumer” and the upcoming “Trainwreck,” left her server a hefty tip, restaurant reps confirmed to Patch.

In an act of kindness, Schumer, a graduate of South Side High School in Rockville Centre, left her server, Ryan, a $500 tip, Peter’s Clam Bar said. Schumer was inspired after finding out Ryan was “a college student working two jobs to fund his education,” according to Page Six.

“I waited tables for a long time, so when a waiter is sweet and does a good job I like to leave a really big tip,” Schumer told E! News on Monday. “I can’t believe it’s a news story but hey everybody should tip a lot, that job is hard.”
