Allstate agency owner Albert Meneses was recently named an Agent Hero by Allstate Insurance Company's New York Region, and awarded a $500 grant for a local youth program.
Meneses donated the grant to BLD Rockville Centre. BLD (Bukas Loob Sa Diyos, meaning "Open in Spirit to God") is a worldwide Christian community originating in the Philippines, helping youth through encounter programs.
The donation will be used to help purchase bread, peanut butter, jelly, plastic wrap and other groceries, as well as cover transport expenses for BLD youth and adult members serving in the organization's soup kitchen.

"As an Allstate agent, I believe it is my responsibility to demonstrate the Good Hands Promise in the Long Island community every single day," said Meneses. "It is an honor to be able to donate this grant to the BLD and hopefully touch the lives of the kids who are involved."
