Annual Frank's Steaks Holiday Display Contains More Than 75,000 Lights

The festive showcase will be up for customers to gaze at through January.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — A holiday tradition resumes at Frank's Steaks in Rockville Centre. Customers can enjoy a good meal surrounded by an amazing holiday display.

"Everything you see every year is new," Interior Designer Michael Delahanty told Patch. "We try to listen to our customers and see what they want."

Dazzling lights take over the restaurant walls and ceilings and capture the imagination. You'll find a see-through "toy chest" featuring a Jack-in-the-Box and Hess trucks.

White clouds (or is it a snow-covered ceiling?) add to the festive feel with green and red lights.

Blue ornaments and a menorah are also hanging with care to celebrate diversity.

It's Michael Delahanty's fifth year designing the welcoming scenery. The Malverne native runs Michael Delahanty Designs, where he's created scenary for eateries from the North Fork to the Hamptons.

"But this is my favorite. This is where I started," he said.

For the third year, Delahanty and artist Colin O'Leary worked together to combine their vision with a passion for the project at Frank's Steaks, owned by Chris Meyer.

"I couldn't do this without him," Delahanty said.

It took them 80 hours to bring the sketches to life as more than 75,000 lights overtake the steakhouse.

"This will be here through the end of January," Delahanty said. "Because we can't fit everyone in for the month of December."
