Baldwin Applebee’s Reopens In Renovated Space

The remodeled restaurant space was unveiled in a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday.

BALDWIN, NY. — Baldwin residents will have an easier time “Eatin’ Good In The Neighborhood” this December, after Applebee’s franchisee Doherty Enterprises cut the ribbon on its newly remodeled restaurant in Baldwin Thursday.

The renovated space features upgraded light fixtures, new booths and bar seats, and a series of murals that Doherty representatives say, “reflect the spirit of Baldwin.” The restaurant has been open since 2009; the ribbon-cutting was attended by Nancy Capozzi and Florence Sanicola from the Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, as well as Luisa Pinga and Kern McIntosh, both part of the restaurant’s front-of-house staff.

“This newly refreshed Applebee’s reflects the energy of Baldwin, a locale full of community pride and energy,” Doherty Enterprises Vice President of Casual Dining Kurt Pahlitzch said. “We’re so excited to welcome our neighbors back into a brighter, more comfortable restaurant where they can gather with their friends and family for some quality time over delicious food and drinks.”

From the point of view of Tim Doherty, president and COO of the restaurant’s parent company, the renovation is just another chapter in the connection between restaurant and community.

“Each renovation represents our investment in the local communities we serve,” Doherty said. “We’re happy to deliver a fresh new Applebee’s experience to guests in Baldwin.”
