Baldwin School Superintendent Dr. Shari Camri Announces Retirement

BALDWIN, NY — A change is coming atop the Baldwin Union Free School District. Superintendent Dr. Shari Camhi is retiring.

The Board of Education appointed Anthony Mignella to succeed Dr. Camhi in the position.

Mignella has been with the district for nine years. In his role as assistant superintendent for instruction, Mignella enhanced his knowledge through courses, seminars, conferences, and interaction with his peers in other districts.

Prior to arriving in Baldwin, Mignella already had a large amount of educational experience, including as a classroom teacher and a middle school principal.

Camhi's most significant contribution to the district was "building a management and instructional team that is layered and solid," said a letter to families.

The board also approved the appointed of Stephanie Rengifo as assistant superintendent, curriculum.
