Long Island Swim School is the teaching arm of the nationally ranked Long Island Aquatic Club. Our Learn to Swim programs create strong, safe, and confident swimmers for life. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. Our goal driven and technique oriented approach is the key to your child's success. Through skill based quality teaching our students develop a joy for learning and a passion for swimming. ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — It's a pint for a pint blood drive in Rockville Centre. Those who donate blood on May 14 at the St. Agnes Parish Church get a voucher for a free pint of beer. They can use the redemption on May 16 at The Tap Room between 5-8 p.m. While walk-ins are welcome, scheduling in advance is preferred.The blood drive is being held in honor of Robert Sullivan, a local resident who was diagnosed with cancer and needed blood transfusions. "The Friends of Rob Sullivan" set up the first blood drive for him in 2010. For donating, a photo identification card is required. For more information, you can call the New York Blood Center at 1-800-933-Blood or 516-705-2618.
