College Coach Getting Immortalized In Sports Hall Of Fame
Joe Pellicane has helmed the Molloy College women's basketball team for the past seven seasons.
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — The Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame named its Class of 2022, and legendary Molloy College basketball coach Joe Pellicane is on the list for enshrinement.
Pellicane is a Deer Park resident, but is known for his work on the court in the Rockville Centre school.
He is in his seventh consecutive season leading the women's basketball team. He also coached the squad in the 2005-2006 season.

Pellicane's women's coaching record is 259-190, but his overall record has more than 540 wins dating back to 1980. At Molloy, he guided the team to four NCAA Tournament appearances.
Pellicane also coached at St. John's University, Hofstra University and Dowling College.
