Arrests:

On Aug. 25 at 4:54 a.m., Thomas J. Young, 32, of Lakeview was arrested for disorderly conduct and an open Hempstead Village warrant after Mercy Medical Center security reported that the subject was refusing to leave the emergency room waiting area located at 1000 North Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On Aug. 25, Carl S. Petronio, 51, of Woodmere was arrested for petit larceny following an investigation by police personnel at CVS Pharmacy located 155 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On Aug. 27 at 4:22 p.m., Nicholas Schwamb, 17, of Bellmore was arrested and charged with spraying graffiti and possession of graffiti instruments after he was observed spray painting graffiti on the exterior wall of Kasey's Restaurant located 23 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre. 

On Aug. 29 at 12:19 a.m., Josue Sully, 20, of North Baldwin was arrested and charged with DWI after he was involved in an auto accident on Front Street in Rockville Centre. The defendant was also charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

On Aug. 29 at 6:55 p.m., John Prestia, 49, of Astoria, Queens was arrested for theft of services, after he reportedly refused to pay his bill at Cabo Restaurant located 3A North Park Ave.  in Rockville Centre.

ID Theft:

On Aug. 24, a complainant from North Centre Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) made purchases from Dell Credit Corporation using his personal information totaling $1, 245.64 without authorization.

On Aug. 25, a complainant from Morris Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) opened a Citibank checking account using his personal information, made withdrawals totaling $35,000 from his home equity line of credit and accessed his debit account and Yahoo e-mail account without authorization.

Larceny:

On Aug. 23, a complainant from Fountain Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) stole an iPod from his car that was parked in front of his home.

On Aug. 25, a complainant from Royal Court in Rockville Centre reported that between Aug. 23 at 11 p.m. and Aug. 24 at 9:55 p.m., unknown person(s) posing as Chase Bank sent him an e-mail requesting account information and passwords; subsequently $1,900 was withdrawn from his Chase account without permission.

On Aug. 26 a complainant from Davison Place in Rockville Centre reported that his Shimano bicycle was stolen from beneath the LIRR west of the taxi stand sometime between 6 a.m. and 5:40 p.m.

On Aug. 27 at 9:40 p.m., an East Rockaway resident reported an unknown person damaged the driver's side window of his car and removed his GPS device from his car while it was parked in the parking lot at Friday's Restaurant, located at 716 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.  

On Aug. 29 at 11:05 a.m., a complainant from Merrick Road in Rockville Centre reported an unknown person damaged her driver's side door lock and removed her radio from her car while it was parked in the rear of Park Avenue Deli, located at 276 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre. 

(All suspects are innocent until proven guilty. Their arrest does not signify guilt, just that they were charged with a crime.)
