Crime Watch: Bar Stools Stolen from Local Pub

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest:

On May 23 at 12:56 a.m., Joseph A. Lavoie, 46, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for third-degree criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and third-degree menacing following an investigation by police personnel on Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.

On May 23 at 3:34 p.m., Brian A. Eklund, 28, of Freeport, was arrested for an open arrest warrant from the City of Long Beach for consumption of alcohol in a public place on July 2, 2005.

Following an investigation by police personnel on Old Mill Court in Rockville Centre on May 24 at 4:15 p.m., Benjamin K. Britt, 26, of Old Mill Court, was arrested for third-degree criminal mischief that reportedly occurred on Meehan Lane in Rockville Centre on April 23 at approximately 4:22 a.m.

On May 25 at 3:35 a.m., Paul O. Scheer, 56, of Oceanside, was arrested for an open warrant for disorderly conduct by MTAPD on Sept. 3, 2010 in Lynbrook.

On May 28 at 8:27 p.m., Jodie M. Gill, 45, of East Rockaway, was arrested for second-degree criminal contempt following an investigation by police personnel at Morris Avenue and Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On May 29 at 1:13 a.m., Richard A. Ferguson, 40, of Hempstead, was arrested for first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and VTL offenses following an investigation by police personnel on N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre.

Burglary:

On May 24 at 9 a.m., complainant property owner from 6th Street in Garden City reported that sometime between 2-2:30 a.m., unknown persons entered the RVC Tap Room, located at 150 S. Long Beach Road in Rockville Centre and removed ten bar stools valued at $100 without permission.

Burglary (attempt):

On May 28 at 10:50 a.m., complainant manager from the Long Island Blood Bank, located at 250 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre, reported that sometime between May 27 at 3:30 p.m. and May 28 at 6:45 a.m., unknown person(s) damaged a door frame and door lock; no entry was gained.
