Crime Watch: Car Stolen from Driveway, Home Burglary

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest:

On Nov. 16 at 6:10 a.m., Susan Williams, 42, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for second-degree forgery following a joint law enforcement investigation at her residence.

Burglary:

On Nov. 15 at 10:39 a.m., police personnel responded to a reported burglary that occurred at an Intervale, Rockville Centre residence sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 10:39 a.m. Proceeds reportedly included a lap top computer and XBOX game system.

Larceny:

On Nov. 15 at 2:30 p.m., a complainant from S. Forest Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between Nov. 14 at 2:30 p.m. and Nov. 15 at 8:45 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a GPS and $20 from a motor vehicle parked in her driveway.

On Nov. 17 at 8 p.m., complainant manager from CVS Pharmacy, located at 598 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre, reported that two unknown males attempted to steal a Norelco Razor valued at $107.99. The two subjects reportedly fled in a 1997 Ford.

On Nov. 19 at 4 p.m., a South Centre Avenue resident reported an unknown person entered her vehicle and stole $80 and personal papers while it was parked in the rear of the building.

On Nov. 20 at 1:45 a.m., a Strathmore Lane resident reported her 2000 Toyota Sienna was stolen from her driveway between 11:45 p.m. on Nov. 19 and 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 20.

On Nov. 20 at 2:35 p.m., a Valley Stream resident reported an unknown person stole an iPod from his vehicle while it was parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 3 near N. Park Avenue.

On Nov. 20 at 3:39 p.m., a Wantagh resident reported her passport was stolen from her pocketbook while she was inside Kasey’s, located at 23 N. Park Ave.  overnight.

On Nov. 20 at 3:40 p.m., two Oceanside residents, both age 13, reported their bicycles were stolen while they were eating inside McDonald’s at 618 Sunrise Highway.
