Crime Watch: Cops Injured During Drug Arrest

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

The following crime report and arrest information was supplied by the RVC Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests:

On Sept. 17 at 5:07 a.m., Robert G. Salesman, 21, of Baldwin, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and VTL violations after being observed operating a motor vehicle in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway and Oceanside Road in Rockville Centre.

On Sept. 16 at 9:50 p.m., Robert F. Davis, 26, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree assault (2 counts), and resisting arrest following a police investigation on S. Village Avenue and Municipal Parking Field No. 6 in Rockville Centre. Two police anti-crime personnel were injured (back/ankle) while effectuating the arrest of defendant.

On Sept. 19 at 10:20 a.m., a sixteen-year-old male complainant from Banks Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that he was robbed by four unknown males while in the vicinity of N. Forest Avenue in Rockville Centre. The victim sustained minor injuries (finger laceration/hip pain); the subjects stole his back pack, necklace, cell phone and $5. 

Burglary:

On Sept. 20 at 8:45 p.m., a complainant from N. Forest Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) entered her apartment on weekends over a period of fifteen months and stole property without permission.

On Sept. 15 at 11 a.m., a complainant from Park Lane in Rockville Centre reported that the rear door of her residence was damaged and a chair had been placed under a kitchen window by unknown person(s) sometime between Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. and Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. 

Larceny:

On Sept. 19, a complainant from 2000 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between Sept 16 at 5 p.m. and Sept. 19 at 9 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a Kodak Easy Share 550 digital camera valued at $119 from inside a doctor’s office where she works.

On Sept. 18, a complainant from Lenox Road in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) removed property from his 2002 Jeep parked at his apartment building between Sept. 17 at 11 p.m. and Sept. 18 at 3:15 p.m. 

On Sept. 14, a complainant from N. Long Beach Road in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) stole his 2009 Magna Mountain bicycle valued at $120 from Front Street and N. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre sometime between Sept. 7 at 5 p.m. and Sept. 8 at 12:30 p.m.
