Crime Watch: PD Busts Ten Women for Prostitution

Recent police activity reported by the RVCPD.

Arrests:

On Oct. 30 at approximately 6:09 a.m., William J. Sheehan, 26, of Garden City, was arrested for DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and VTL violations after being observed operating a 1988 Lincoln on Lincoln Avenue at South Park Avenue in Rockville Centre.

On Oct. 31 at approximately 12:02 a.m., Vincent C. Logiudici, 27, of Lynbrook, was arrested for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following an investigation by police personnel at Merrick Road and N. Long Beach Road in Rockville Centre.

On Oct. 31 at approximately 12:02 a.m., Matthew L. Manchin, 28, of Freeport, was arrested for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following an investigation by police personnel at Merrick Road and N. Long Beach Road in Rockville Centre.

On Nov. 1, Timothy P. Callahan, 25, of Brooklyn was arrested for first-degree sexual abuse following an investigation by police personal regarding an incident that reportedly occurred at the Hampton Inn located at 125 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre on Oct. 31 at approximately 3 a.m.

On Oct. 28 at approximately 11:30 p.m., Alicia Mirsalim, 22, of Queens, was arrested for prostitution following an investigation by police personnel on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On Oct. 28 at approximately 7:58 p.m., Lana Cumakova, 30, of Manhattan, was arrested for prostitution following an investigation by police personnel on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On Oct. 28 at approximately 9:31 p.m., Wendy Y. Lopez, 30, of Jersey City, was arrested for prostitution following an investigation by police personnel on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On Oct. 28 at approximately 9:31 p.m., Layia R. Baron, 20, of Connecticut, was arrested for prostitution following an investigation by police personnel on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On Oct. 28 at approximately 10:40 p.m., Desiree Caraballo, 28, of the Bronx, was arrested for prostitution following an investigation by police personnel on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On Oct. 28 at approximately 11:10 p.m., Geneva Sherer, 39, of Queens, was arrested for prostitution following an investigation by police personnel on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On Oct. 28 at approximately 11:40 p.m., Julia Plyasova, 25, of Brooklyn, was arrested for prostitution following an investigation by police personnel on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On Oct. 28 at approximately 11:50 p.m., Kia Li, 34, of Elmhurst, was arrested for fourth-degree promoting prostitution following an investigation by police personnel on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On Oct. 28 at approximately 11:50 p.m., Lu Ju, 31, of Flushing, was arrested for prostitution following an investigation by police personnel on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On Nov. 1 at 11:18 p.m., Joseph C. Kennedy, 17, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for fourth-degree criminal mischief following a police investigation regarding a broken window on Burtis Avenue in Rockville Centre.

Assault:

On Oct. 31 at approximately 12:15 a.m., a complainant from Waldo Avenue in East Rockaway reported to police that he was assaulted by an unknown male resulting in a facial laceration while in the vicinity of 21 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On Oct. 29 at 3 a.m., a Central Islip resident reported he was assaulted by an unknown male while inside Kasey's, 23 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.

Larceny:

On Oct. 31, a complainant from Taft Avenue in Lynbrook reported to police that his wallet was removed from his motor vehicle parked at Molloy College located 1000 Hempstead Ave. in Rockville Centre on Oct. 30 between 1-4 p.m.

On Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. a complainant from Mercy Medical Center located 1000 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) removed three pipes and a faucet handle without permission from three lobby bathrooms within the medical center.

On Oct. 29, a complainant from Swan Drive in Massapequa reported to police that unknown person(s) removed sixteen campaign signs from the vicinity of Lakeview Avenue and Peninsula Boulevard in Rockville Centre without permission.

On Oct. 30 at approximately 2:30 p.m., a complainant from Buckingham Road in Rockville Centre reported that his 2008 BMW that was running with windows open was stolen by unknown person(s) while at Mobile Gas Station 345 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

Criminal Mischief:

On Oct. 29, a complainant from S. Centre Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that an unknown person damaged the taillight to his 2002 Toyota while it was parked in the rear of his apartment building between Oct. 28 and Oct. 29. Thursday.

Harassment:

On Oct. 31, a complainant from Brower Avenue in Rockville Centre reported to police that he had received harassing text messages from an acquaintance from Mosefer Street in Franklin Square between Oct. 28 and Oct. 31.

Property Damage:

On Oct. 30, a complainant from Lincoln Avenue in Rockville Centre reported to police that her 2006 Subaru was damaged by unknown means while parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 6 in Rockville Centre.

Property Lost:

On Oct. 29, a complainant from Lenox Road in Rockville Centre reported that two license plates from her 2003 Chevrolet were lost while the vehicle was at Autotech Collision located 132 S. Long Beach Road in Rockville Centre between Sept. 20 and Sept. 23.
