Cutting Edge Lung Cancer Clinical Trials Available On Long Island
Catholic Health is offering an immunotherapy drug that could prove effective in the long term.
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — An innovative lung cancer treatment is available through Rockville Centre's Catholic Health, making it the only New York area health system participating in the clinical trial.
Catholic Health is partnering with Roswell Park Care Network, to study the impact of immunotherapy, CIMAvax-EGF.
It is a type of immunotherapy that uses the body’s immune system to fight lung cancer, effectively starving cancer cells of a protein needed for cancer to survive.
