Early Summer Heat Pushes Hempstead Town To Extend Beach, Pool Hours
The temperature will feel like it's at least 90 degrees through Wednesday.
HEMPSTEAD, NY — Summer has come in like a lion and the Town of Hempstead is extending hours to keep cool.
Town beaches will stay open until 7 p.m., while pool hours are extended until 8 p.m. through Wednesday, Supervisor Don Clavin said.
Temperatures are forecasted to hit 90 and Tuesday and Wednesday, and even higher with the heat index factored in.
