Flooding, Minimal Outages From Storms

NASSAU COUNTY, NY — As thunderstorms rumbled through the area on Thurs. afternoon, one of the casualties was flooding.

There are reports of ponding on roads and highways across Nassau County.

Use caution where there are puddles on the road.

The storms have not made much of an impact on the power grid. As of 3 p.m., only 6,848 customers were without electricity, the majority of outages are in Nassau, according to PSEG Long Island.
