Front Street Bakery Mourns Loss Of Owner Jeff Wohlfarth

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — The Front Street Bakery in Rockville Centre is dealing with a loss that hits the entire community hard.

Owner Jeff Wohlfarth died on Sunday.

"Besides his love and devotion to the bakery, he was a volunteer firefighter, an avid fisherman and devoted family man above all else," a memorial Facebook post from the bakery said.

The Rockville Centre Fire Department held a service for Wohlfarth, who was 69, on Sunday evening. A funeral mass was held at St. Agnes Cathedral on Monday morning.

The bakery honored their leader by closing on Monday and Tuesday.

"We are heartbroken, but also deeply grateful for the time we had with him," the Facebook post said.
