Local Deals for School Supplies
Village pharmacies host supply sales, but their selection is limited.
Some parents may describe September as, "the most wonderful time of the year," as their kids head back to school and prepare for new classes, homework and tests. But with only one week before schools are back in session, now is the time to shop for school supplies, and a couple of local pharmacies are hosting back-to-school sales.
Rite Aid Pharmacy on North Village Avenue, located in the Home Goods shopping center, is offering buy one, get one-free Mead folders and notebooks. The folders are priced at $2.49, while notebooks are $4. Mead 70-sheet notepads are on sale for $3.50, and a set of ten Bic pens are priced at $2. If you're child is a thorough note taker, Rite Aid is also selling Sharpie highlighters, in a pack of four, for $3.99.
Parents should also take advantage of Rite Aid's rebate deals, which if used, can score you three marble, Mead notebooks for only 98 cents! It also has a sale on bookbags — 50 percent off — and one could be had for as cheap as $8.
