Longtime Library Worker Dies at 48

OCEANSIDE, NY — The Oceanside Library is mourning the loss of its head of materials management.

Joseph Genovese was 48.

The library posted on its Facebook page that Genovese joined the facility in 1997.

He was called a "perfect colleague" and Genovese was a "friend to those who had the great honor of working with him," as written on Facebook.

He is survived by his wife and twin sons, high school seniors.
