Man Fatally Struck Crossing Nassau Street: Police

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — A man, who was crossing a Rockville Centre street, was struck by a vehicle and killed on Monday afternoon, police said.

The 68-year-old victim was walking on Buckingham Road near Princeton Road, when she was hit by a 2023 Ford Transit van, police said. The 77-year-old male driver remained at the scene, police said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with multiple injuries. He was pronounced dead a short time later, authorities said.

Police are investigating.
