She added: "My Petey, your light has always brought people together, and even now in this darkness, it still shines through; look at all the humanity we have witnessed. It has inspired a community, and their kindness gives us strength to keep going. We are so grateful for all the love, support, and tireless efforts of so many. To those who knew you, they know the kind of heart you had. To those who never had the chance to meet you, they’ve still come to know you — through the love and unity you’ve sparked. In a time when the world often feels divided, you’ve managed to unite so many. Friends and strangers have shared stories of your kindness, your laughter, your beautiful soul."

He’s worked endlessly for his community, always setting goals for a better tomorrow and believing in the power of love, unity, and connection. He would be there in a heartbeat for anyone in need because that’s the kind of heart he has."

She sent a fierce message of love to her beloved son: "Wherever you are my boy, know that you are my light, my strength and my heart. And we, your family and all the people you’ve moved and brought together — we’re not stopping. I will never stop. Happy Birthday, my awesome boy. I am waiting for you. Love you forever."
