Molloy Opens New Public Square
Location to be used for music classes, studying, eating and student affairs.

After two years of construction, Molloy College officially opened its new Public Square on Oct. 20, which contains a new performing arts center and several new amenities for its growing student body.
Daniel Henry, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, said Molloy has never been stronger. "We stand on the shoulders of visionaries," he said. "The new performing arts center will be used by thousands in the community."
The Public Square will host the college's Music Department, with 11 acoustically isolated class and practice rooms. The bookstore was relocated to the ground floor, which is also where the new cafe and juice bar are located. The Square will also host an Information Commons, which provides students with access to computers, printers and scanners.
