Molloy Professor Receives Prestigious Award

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — A Molloy University professor is the recipient of the prestigious Fulbright Specialist Program award.

The honor will allow Dr. John Eterno to travel to Slovenia, where he will collaborate with faculty from the University of Maribor Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security.

During this three-week stay, Eterno will engage in a project aimed at promoting international knowledge exchange and academic partnerships in the field of sociology.

Eterno is a Ph.D., Professor and Graduate Program Director of the Department of Criminal Justice and Legal Studies at Molloy.

“I’m honored to be selected as a Fulbright Specialist and grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues at the University of Maribor,” said Eterno. “This project is not only a chance to exchange ideas across borders, but also a meaningful way to advance global understanding in criminal justice. I look forward to bringing back new perspectives that will enrich our work at Molloy and benefit our students and community.”

Established in 1946, the Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s flagship international educational exchange initiative, designed to build lasting connections between the United States and over 160 countries.
