Molloy University Appoints New Dean To Faculty

Former IBM executive Dr. Joseph Porter, Jr. has been named dean of the school of business.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Molloy University has made a personnel change.

Dr. Joseph Porter, Jr. has been named the new dean of the school of business.

A former IBM executive and an accomplished academic leader, Porter most recently served as Associate Dean and Director of the Global Business and Leadership Graduate Program at Nazareth University.

“The School of Business offers an ethically grounded educational model rooted in the values of our institution, with graduates achieving success at leading companies across our region. Dr. Porter’s leadership comes at an important time of continued growth and development," said Dr. James Lentini, President of Molloy University.

Porter holds a Doctorate in Computing from Pace University, as well as master’s degrees from Cornell University, the University of Pennsylvania, and SUNY Binghamton.

His research and teaching expertise spans data analytics, organizational change and global business.
