Molloy University Gala Raises Over $230,000 For Scholarship Funding

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — The annual Molloy University raised more than $230,000 in support of the school's Commitment to Scholarship Funding.

"We celebrate our community members, faculty, staff, board members, alumni and those who have worked tirelessly to spread Molloy University’s commitment to academic excellence,” said James P. Lentini, President of Molloy University. "We are so grateful for the support of our loyal alumni and the Molloy community."

At the gala event held on Nov. 10, Marian Conway and Barbara Schmidt were honored.

Conway, who is the executive director of New York Community Bank Foundation, received the Corporate Leadership Award.

Schmidt, a professor emeritus of Communication Sciences & Disorders, Associate Provost at Molloy University, was given the Lifetime Achievement Award. It is presented to extraordinary individuals whose professional career is characterized by a series of outstanding achievements and exceptional leadership within the community.
