More Than 200 Frozen Turkeys Collected By NICE Bus

Overall, $14,000 in turkeys, other food items and cash was raised this year for Island Harvest.

GARDEN CITY, NY — As Long Islanders prepare to spend time with families for Thanksgiving, NICE bus employees held an annual Turkey Drive.

During the three-week drive, more than 200 frozen turkeys were collected for Island Harvest.

Overall, more than $14,000 in turkeys, other food items and cash was raised this year.

NICE bus parent company Transdev donated $2,000, while $4,500 by raised from NICE employees and their families.

"NICE Bus employees are keenly aware of the strain that some feel to feed their families during the holidays, and it is heartwarming to see neighbors helping neighbors," NICE CEO Jack Khzouz said.
