Oceanside McDonald's Manager Detained By ICE Agents: Report

OCEANSIDE, NY — A Oceanside McDonald's manager was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents at a McDonald's in Oceanside, Newsday reported.
Christian Rodriguez, 51, who lives in Baldwin, is facing deportation after five years of working for the fast food restaurant, Newsday said.
A native of Venezuela, Rodriguez was taken into custody last Thursday, the article stated.

Patch attempted to get a comment from ICE.
Rodriguez came to the U.S. in December 2015 on a tourist visa, Newsday said.

Earlier this summer, a bagel shop manager in Glen Cove was detained by ICE agents. Fernando Mejia was employed for several years at Shmear Bagel & Cafe. On June 23, an ICE spokesperson told Patch that Mejia was detained because he was "identified as a fugitive alien with a final order of removal."
