Long Island Swim School is the teaching arm of the nationally ranked Long Island Aquatic Club. Our Learn to Swim programs create strong, safe, and confident swimmers for life. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. A gold-plated sterling silver chalice was stolen from a back-room closet in St. Agnes, officials said. The value of the chalice is unknown. According to Nassau County Detectives, a complainant from St. Agnes reported that an unknown subject, without permission, removed the chalice from a rear closet. The chalice is described as gold-plated sterling silver with a crystal node and platinum cross with a female wedding band attached. It was last seen on Sept. 22. The chalice has an inscription from 1962 stating: "Dear Jimmy Love Mom and Dad." Detectives request any with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
