Police: RVC Woman Showed Explicit Video to Seaford Student

Tanya Thompson was charged with endangering the welfare of a child at the Seaford BOCES facility.

A teacher’s aide from Rockville Centre who works at the  in Seaford was arrested Friday and charged with displaying a sexually explicit video to a student, police said.

Nassau County Seventh Squad detectives said the teacher’s aide, Tanya Thompson, 29, of Rockville Centre, displayed a sexually explicit video from her cell phone to a 13-year-old male student at the school, which is located at 1100 Crestline Place in Seaford. A police spokeswoman would not provide any details on what made the video explicit.

Thompson, 29, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Hempstead on April 13.

Officials for Nassau BOCES did not respond to calls seeking comment. Seaman Neck Middle School is a special education facility for students ages 10-14 and is located in a building that once housed an elementary school for the Levittown Public School system. A mug shot of Thompson was not available.
