Proposed Rockville Centre School Budget Below Tax Cap

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Rockville Centre residents will go to the polls on Tuesday as the 2024-2025 school budget is decided.

The proposed budget has a tax cap of 2.49 percent, below this year's cap of 2.64 percent.

The budget would include $1.8 million in capital projects for maintenance, renovations and improvements at district buildings.

If the budget fails to pass, the Board can put up the same or an adjusted budget for a public re-vote in June.

Voting takes place from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the South Side High School gymnasium.
