PSEG Long Island To Handle Strong Winds Wednesday Night
Wind gusts across the island could top 50 miles per hour.
UNIONDALE, NY — A stormy Wednesday is on tap for Long Island.
Windy conditions are expected to be the worst of this mid-week weather event. Peak gusts could be more than 50 miles per hour through Thursday.
That could lead topple trees, branches and wires, leading to the potential for power outages.

PSEG Long Island said they have personnel ready to respond during the storm.
"We have performed system and logistic checks, and have a full complement of personnel who will mobilize for restoration in foul weather conditions," said Michael Sullivan, vice president of Electric Operations at PSEG Long Island. "Our crews will work to safely restore any outages as quickly as conditions will allow.”
