Rockville Centre Annual St. Patrick's Day Steps Off On March 23

It's been an early spring tradition for more than 25 years.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Rockville Centre is ready to host the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade.

The March 23 parade begins at the municipal parking lot on Sunrise Highway. This year's Grand Marshal is Greg Schaefer, the chief executive officer and owner of Better Home Health Care Agency.

It is scheduled to kick off at noon, rain or shine. The procession will march past Quealy Place and a reviewing stand near St Agnes Cathedral.

Alcohol is not permitted in the staging areas and no one should carry open containers of alcohol along the parade route.

Rockville Centre hosted its first St. Patrick's Day parade in 1997.
