Seaford-Based Karate School Now Offers Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

SEAFORD, NY — A local karate school is expanding its "lesson plan."
East Coast Karate is now offering Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo classes.
Professor Mark Staniszewski is a fourth-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a fifth-degree black belt in Judo.

Staniszewski, who leads the classes, is a member of the Martial Arts Hall of Fame. He is also the first athlete to win a Pan American Championship in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo.
The classes are for students ranging from beginners to advanced skills.
