Several Thousand Without Power On Long Island From Flooding Rain
As many as 24,000 customers were without electricity throughout the historic storm.
UNIONDALE, NY — Wednesday's heavy rainfall, remnants of Hurricane Ida, has led to power outages for some customers.
PSEG Long Island is reported 6,650 customers without electricity as of 9:20 a.m., according to its website.
The utility company said they restored power to more than 24,000 homes and businesses by 7 a.m.

They have more than 900 line workers, tree trimmers, surveyors and other utility personnel involved in the restoration effort.
