State-Of-The-Art Upgrades At Mount Sinai South Nassau

OCEANSIDE, NY — Mount Sinai South Nassau is unveiling state-of-the-art upgrades to the Oceanside facility.

A new trauma unit will be capable of handling mass casualty events and up to six treatments area.

Each bed is equipped is new imaging technology for intubations and urgent bronchoscopy procedures.

Enhancement for the emergency department will include eight private patient treatment rooms and two areas dedicated to pediatric patients.

The entire cost for the work is $5 million, the hospital said.

Mount Sinai South Nassau is in the process of a five-phase, $50 million expansion project.
