Town Of Hempstead Vaxmobile Offers Combo Flu/COVID Shot For Seniors
Throughout the next month, multiple senior centers will be targeted for extra vaccine protection.
OCEANSIDE, NY — While COVID-19 cases are low on Long Island, the Town of Hempstead Vaxmobile, in conjunction with Mount Sinai South Nassau, will literally double its efforts to get people the necessary vaccinations.
In targeting the more vulnerable-- seniors-- the Vaxmobile will now offer flu shots along with the latest COVID-19 boosters. Both will be provided at no cost.
In the coming weeks, the mobile unit will make stops at several Town of Hempstead Senior Centers.

Tuesday 11/1: Green Acres Senior Center
Thursday 11/3: Levittown Senior Center
Friday 11/4: Merrick Senior Center
Thursday 11/10: Uniondale Hempstead Senior Center
Tuesday 11/15: Bellmore Senior Center
Friday 11/17: Uniondale Merrick Senior Center
All Vaxmobile times are 10 a.m to 2 p.m.
The Vaxmobile offers the FDA-approved Quadrivalent flu vaccine for the 2022-2023 season and each of the COVID-19 vaccines, including the Pfizer-BioNTech bivalent vaccine.
