Town Of Oyster Bay To Host First Pickleball Tournament
It takes place the weekend of May 17-18.
MASSAPEQUA, NY — Pickleball players have a new tournament to plan for in the Town of Oyster Bay.
The town's first social play pickleball tournament, features a fun, bracket-style competition for residents.
Matches are Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 at newly installed pickleball courts at Ellsworth Allen Park in Bethpage and Garrick Williams Park in Massapequa.

If needed, Lenox Avenue Park in Bethpage will also be used.
All finals matches will be held at Garrick Williams Park.

Various categories are open for men and women over and under 40 years old and over and under 60 years ago.
Registration is now underway for all residents at www.oysterbaytown.com/sports.
Tournament entry is on a first-come, first-served basis with no more than 16 teams being entered per category. All teams will play at least three matches. Players must bring their own paddles.
“Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the nation, and our Town is proud to lead the way in creating opportunities for residents to enjoy this exciting game,” said Councilman Steve Labriola.
