Warm Weather Coming To Long Island. And Maybe Some Snow.

Don't put your mittens and hats away just yet, though, because we still have a few cold days on the horizon.

You may be able to put away your hats and gloves this weekend, because Long Island has some warm weather on the way. But it's going to stay pretty chilly until then, and maybe even snow.

The National Weather Service is predicting temperatures picking up Friday into Saturday, with a high of 48 degrees on Friday and 51 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's likely to come with some rain Friday night into Saturday.

Things will be seasonable until we get to the weekend. There's also a small chance of snow on Thursday, the weather service says, but no word yet on how much would fall.
