OCEANSIDE, NY — A singer from Oceanside has been performing the National Anthem for several years, but Ali Berke is turning it into a bucket list quest.

Her goal is to sing the National Anthem at every Major League Baseball stadium. She's more than halfway to completion.

"I think I would be the only solo female artist to it," Berke told Patch. "It's great experience, great exposure and just something cool to say that I did."

This all started when she performed at Citi Field before the first pitch in 2017. Over the years, the tally has grown to 16 ballparks, but ironically the Long Islander has not been asked to sing at Yankee Stadium —yet. Incidentally, Berke doesnt have any allegiance to the Mets or the Yankees.

"I'm more into hockey, basketball [and] football," she said. The Oceanside resident has also performed the National Anthem at NY Giants, Knicks, and Devils games.

Berke is active on social media, especially her Instagram account, as she promotes her baseball dream.

"The response that I've gotten is really incredible," Berke said.

While she is playing for the long term by hitting all major league stadiums, Berke doesn't set a goal per season.

"The only thing depends on the availability of each team and what I'm physically able to do," she said.

But when she has the mic in New York, her family and friends are ready to show support. "Which is really nice."
