Handgun Brandished, Road Rage On Boston Post Road: Police
A 63-year-old Westchester man has been charged with menacing in connection to the scary incident, according to Rye police.

RYE, NY — Summer temperatures arrived in the Hudson Valley ahead of the first day of the season, and tempers were hot as well.
On Thursday, around noon, officers from the City of Rye Police Department responded to a report of a road rage incident where a handgun was brandished.
The incident took place on Boston Post Road, at the entrance to the Rye Golf Club. The victim told police that a man stopped his vehicle in front of the victim's vehicle. The victim said he honked his horn at the unknown driver, and the driver pointed what appeared to be a black handgun at him. The victim noted the license plate number and called 911.

Officers stopped the vehicle on Boston Post Road, near Peck Avenue, and detained the suspect identified as 63-year-old John Chin of Yonkers.
No handgun was recovered from Chin’s vehicle, but officers walked the route taken by Chin and found a black Daisy Power line pellet gun just off the sidewalk of Boston Post Road, at the intersection of Sonn Drive.

Chin was taken to Rye Police headquarters for processing, and was charged with one misdemeanor count of menacing. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Rye City Court on July 8, according to police.
