Teen Girl Was Home Alone, Man Repeatedly Walked In Uninvited: Rye PD

He was arrested for trespass, and released on his own recognizance with an order of protection protecting the minor, police said.

RYE, NY — A teenage girl in Westchester endured a harrowing ordeal when a man repeatedly entered her family home uninvited, while she was alone, police said.

The City of Rye Police Department says that officers arrested 24-year-old Luigi F. Mejabarahona, of Rye, for misdemeanor second-degree criminal trespass.

Police say that on Thursday, around 1:15 p.m., officers responded to a multi-family home on Purchase Street after receiving a trespass complaint.

An investigation found that Mejabarahona entered an apartment several times while the 15-year-old girl was home alone. After she confronted him, Mejabarahona left the apartment.

After officers interviewed the teen in the presence of her mother, they placed Mejabarahona under arrest.

He was taken to Rye Police Department headquarters for processing. Mejabarahona was then arraigned in Rye Court and released on his own recognizance with an order of protection, protecting the minor.

He is due back in Rye City Court on April 15.
