14-Year-Old Bicyclist Struck by SUV
The teen was seriously injured in the crash Friday night, police say.

LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY – A 14-year-old boy was struck by an SUV while riding his bike in Lake Ronkonkoma Friday night, police said.
According to Suffolk Police, the teen was exiting Raynor Beach County Park at about 7 p.m. when he was hit by a 2017 Honda that was going southbound on Ronkonkoma Avenue near Willis Avenue.
The bicyclist, who police did not identify, was transported by a Ronkonkoma Fire Department ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the SUV, a 51-year-old Ronkonkoma man, was not injured. No criminal charges have been filed.
