Where To Catch Some Waves All Year Round On Long Island And Beyond
It's an endless summer, kind of.

LONG ISLAND, NY — If you are looking to catch some waves no matter what the weather, you will find no shortage of beaches on Long Island and even further in Queens.
From the world-famous Ditch Plains in Montauk where many a celebrity has been spotted to the hardcore local scene of the Rockaways, the region has it all. Patch has compiled a bucket list of beaches where the surf scene is alive and kicking all year round, in no numerical order — no judgment, of course.
You do need to do your research as to what is needed to access some of them. Some beaches do charge extra for non-residents, others you might just need a friend to sneak in with:

- Main Beach, East Hampton

- Fire Island beyond New Old Inlet offers a variety of spots but they are much more difficult to get to in the off-season. Davis Park, Fire Island Pines, and Cherry grove are just a few.
